By Siobhan McGirl • Published June 1, 2020 • Updated on June 1, 2020 In Connecticut, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun now are lobbying fiercely for the exclusive rights to online gaming by virtue of their decades-old agreement with the state on operating slot machines. Gov. Foxwoods is much larger than the Mohegan Sun. It's like its own self-contained city. There is more to do at Foxwoods; more gambling, restaurants, hotels, museum, etc. Mohegan Sun, in my opinion, is much nicer in terms of atmosphere, decor, etc. But, it has fewer restaurants, hotel rooms, and tables/slots. Foxwoods Resort Casino's net revenues amounted to $539.2 million during the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30, 2020, a 31.6% decline. Mohegan Sun’s net revenues fell to $715.7 million in fiscal 2020, down 27.9%.
